Construction on the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia is about 90% complete, with the ACWA Power and Air Products joint venture confirming the project remains on schedule for completion in 2026. First deliveries of green ammonia are expected in early 2027.

The $8.5 billion facility will use 2.2 GW of electrolysers powered by nearly 4 GW of dedicated solar and wind capacity, producing around 600 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, converted into about 1.2 million tonnes of green ammonia a year. Air Products, a co-shareholder in the project, has signed a 30-year exclusive agreement to purchase all of the ammonia produced.
