Editorial Standards
How this hub sources, scores and publishes coverage — and what we do and don't do with other people's work.
Sourcing
Coverage is pulled from three kinds of source: RSS feeds from named regional and international outlets, automated watch of named regulator and operator pages for official announcements, and targeted news-search queries on regional energy, climate and law terms. Every source is recorded against the item it produced.
Licensing
Every source defaults to headline-only use — no excerpt, no image — until that source's licensing terms are confirmed with its publisher. We only switch a source to excerpt or image use after that confirmation.
House style
Where we do write our own summary, it is written in our own words, never copied from the source text, and always carries the source's name and a link back to the original. We do not republish paywalled content.
Classification and editorial review
Incoming items are scored and tagged automatically — by section, country and relevance — to route them to the right place. Lower-confidence items go to an editor for review before anything is published; nothing above headline-only use goes live without that confirmation step having been met.
Corrections
If you believe something we've published is wrong, out of date, or wrongly attributed, tell us and we'll correct it. Material corrections are noted on the affected page.
Sponsorship
Sponsor placements are clearly labelled as sponsored and never mixed into editorial coverage.
