Why this forum

Circularity in materials, manufacturing and the built environment. Launch of the MENA Climate Initiative.

Programme

ThemeCircular ConstructionCircularity in materials, manufacturing and the built environment — how manufacturers, developers and green building bodies are reducing waste, closing material loops and rethinking product lifecycles across the construction value chain. Locally, an estimated 10–15% of building materials are wasted during construction, and construction and demolition waste makes up 70–75% of the UAE's total solid waste — why circularity is central to the green-building agenda, with particular attention to the embodied carbon locked into materials across manufacture, transport and construction.
